Neverwhere!

Why haven't they made a movie from this yet?

Neverwhere Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
This review is for both the mass paperback edition and the graphic novel edition.

This is my favourite Gaiman book so far. A brilliant fantasy novel about a regular guy who ends up in an underground city beneath London where the people who fall through the cracks end up and become invisible to the city above. As for the graphic novel version illustrated by Glenn Fabry, i was disappointed with the changes in the story and especially in the the way the characters dressed and looked - Door, for example, is a 16-year-old girl with short messy hair that dresses like a regular hobo, and in the graphic version she is a sexy vixen with big boobs in a Xena-like bikini and a leather trench coat. Didn't work for me.
